For actress Genny Wilson, storytelling isn’t just an art, it’s a bridge. A bridge between people, hearts, and ideas. With a dream to create and star in stories that are impactful, mind-opening, and heart-changing, Genny lives by the belief that connection lies at the core of the craft. Her sights are high, working with legends like Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, and Daniel Day-Lewis, but so is her purpose.

Her journey began in the seats of a movie theater. Watching films with her father, then dissecting their themes afterward, sparked a fire that never died. That early connection, forged over cinema, became a compass guiding her to the stage and screen. From her first play in 8th grade to a degree in Theatre from Northern Arizona University, Genny has pursued this calling with both heart and discipline. Her career includes roles in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," daytime staples like "The Bold & The Beautiful" and "The Young & The Restless," and riveting stage performances in Enchanted April, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and Bill W. and Dr. Bob.

But one role stands out above the rest. Starring in "What the Constitution Means to Me" has been a deeply meaningful milestone for Genny. The show’s powerful exploration of rights, identity, and legacy mirrors her own passion for projects that not only entertain but awaken.

Genny is clear-eyed about the industry. "As with a lot of industries, we need fewer monopolies, more (and diverse) storytellers, and more realistic ways to actually make a living in this field," she reflects. Her commitment to expanding equity in the arts aligns beautifully with the ethos of the Bi-Coastal Theater Collective, which celebrates authenticity, inclusion, and daring expression.

This year, Genny is stepping behind the scenes as well, preparing to direct a play at the Hollywood Fringe Festival and develop her own short film. Whether she’s on stage, in front of a camera, or leading from the director’s chair, she’s always focused on one thing: doing the next right thing.

“Do the next right thing.” – Genny Wilson
